The past two days have been dedicated to Christmas festivities at school for the 2 older girls. Sadly, I can't remember to bring my camera, so I am stealing photos from my dear friend, Shelley, who is always prepared and has her camera! These are pics from Abby's kindergarten party. Merry Christmas!

Funny, funny, funny...
Luke took Katie hunting this weekend, and shared this story with me. It is so funny that I had to share it with you. (Note: He didn't take a camera, so I'm posting the story with an old pic of him with the girls, ready to go out to the woods!)
Luke and Katie were sitting in the deer blind, watching for animals, when out comes a young buck and a young doe. They are interested in each other, and are chasing each other around the blind. They are MORE interested in each other than in hunters who might be in the blind, because Katie and Luke had this conversation without scaring away the deer:
(Luke): Look, Katie. They are playing chase with each other.
(Katie): No they aren't, Dad. They are mating.
I guess maybe we watch a little bit too much Animal Planet in our house! ha ha!!
Have a great day!!

Little Ducky Duddle
Abby's Kindergarten class put on a show for parents last week that was titled "A Farmer's Life". Abby, as you can see in the picture below, was the duck, "Little Ducky Duddle". I must say, she was one cute little ducky. (Note the feathers on the head and the duck shoes!) She sang a solo, and she did a FANTASTIC job. (I admit it, I was very surprised to hear that she was going to sing alone, as she can be rather quiet at times, but she stepped right out in front of everyone and SANG. And, it sounded GOOD!)Here is a photo of the entire music class, dressed up and proud of their performance!

Katie, the Entertainer
Katie was in the community theatre's Christmas show a few weekends back. She sang two songs with a group of equally talented young ladies, and then one solo. This is really her "thing"- she loves performing, as is good at it, too.
Below you see her with her buddies, ready to sing "Frosty, the Snowman".Here she is, ready for her solo, which was "I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus". (I was just glad they didn't ask me to pucker up on stage! ha ha)
Here she is, dressed as a Christmas elf, posing with Santa after singing "Rudolph, the Red-Nosed Reindeer".
A good time was had by all! Happy Holidays!! :-)

Abby's Thanksgiving Play
Return of the Long-Lost Blogger...
Yes, it's been a while since the last post, I know, faithful readers, but my computer was rendered inoperable for a few days due to needed repair work that was being done in our study/guest room. BUT, the repairs are done, and the computer is functioning, and I am BACK IN BUSINESS!!! I have lots of events to post about, and many cute pics of the girls to share, but since the computer has been out of commission, I haven't had time to load them off of the camera!!!!! Stay tuned... it's on my list to do for tomorrow!! (or maybe the next day...)
